Born in 1984, Silvio Quarantotto is a musician and archaeologist from Trieste. Still in the balance between these two working souls, after years of concerts, lessons at private schools, musical, historical and excavation studies, he became a tenured violin teacher at the Liceo Musicale of Trieste in 2016. Otherwise, he continues to keep interested in antiquity with ethnomusicological researchers (the most recent fruit of which is the study of Sardinian launeddas), the creation of mosaics and narrative writing, characterized by the constant presence and research around history.
He received the first prize at the "Quarantotti-Gambini" Competition in Trieste in 2002 with Il mito dell'unicorno. Special Mention at the "Istria Nobilissima" Competition 2011, followed publication of the story Il profumo di Afrodite, as well as years of exercise and practice among friends, among which the group of the Forum "Leggendo-scrivendo" stands out.
